True Love

I believe on Valentine’s Day that we get way too caught up in the hustle and bustle of the holiday. We want to buy/receive the biggest bouquet of roses, get chocolate-covered everything, and vow to our sweetheart just how much we love them.

We see gushy posts all over social media about people’s one true love and how much we love our spouses, kids, dogs, etc., but do you know who we usually forget on Valentine’s Day? Our FATHER! No, I’m not talking about our dad or the person who raised us. I am talking about our heavenly father.

Our heavenly father is the one who has shown us more love than anyone. He sent his only son to earth to be tortured and tormented for us! If that isn’t true love I don’t know what is.

So this Valentine’s Day don’t forget to thank the heavenly father for his true love. Without his true love and loving us first, we would never know what love truly is and be able to offer it to others.
